On February 14th, 2018, the Court of Auditors organized a conference at the National School of Administration (ENA) conference room, a day for «the Government Preparedness for the Implementation of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030».

This meeting, devoted to the sensitization of all the stakeholders, was attended , in addition to the management and judges of the Court of Auditors, the presidents of the Constitutional Council, the Council of Human Rights, the Council of competition, the National Organ for the Prevention and Fight against Corruption(ONPLC), as well as the Secretaries General of the Ministerial Departments, the General Inspectorate of Finance (IGF), the Central Anti-Corruption Office (OCRC),the constituted bodies, the Algerian Space Agency, his Excellency the Ambassador of the Netherlands in Algeria and the Resident Coordinator of the United Nations Resident System and UNDP resident representative  in Algiers.

After the words of welcome by the director general of the National School of Administration (ENA) and the presentation of the day by Mr. Secretary General, the meeting was enhanced by an inaugural speech of Mr. President of the Court of Auditors.

Several communication followed on:

  • The link between the activities of the Court of Auditors and the SDGs and how they can contribute to reviewing the Government’s preparedness to implement the SDGs? , presented by Mrs Malika DIDOUCHE (President of the 4th Chamber).
  • The popularization of the review, presented by Mr. Abderrazak SENNA (President of the section in the 8th Chamber).
  • The procedure of the review and its seven stages, presented by Mr. Ahmed SAADI (judge in the 8th Chamber).
  • To benefit from the international good practices, a presentation was given by the representatives of the Netherlands Court of audit providing with the experience of this institution in the review of the preparedness of the Dutch Government in the implementation of the SDGs and which was the subject of a report sent to Parliament on September 2017.

A very enriching debate was initiated between the various participants. On the media side, the meeting was widely covered by national television (ENTV).
